Shifted frequency‐based electromagnetic transient simulation for AC power systems in symmetrical component domain

Power systems are becoming more and complicated. Traditional simulation tools such as transient stability programs electromagnetic transients (EMT) unable to meet the accuracy or efficiency requirements. This paper proposes a shifted frequency-based EMT (SFEMT) in symmetrical component-domain (abbreviated SCSFEMT simulation) for three-phase transmission system. The sequence-decoupled modeling power system components is first presented based on component transformation. Then, solution procedure of algorithm elaborated detail EMTP-type multi-sequence Thevenin equivalence (MSTE). With MSTE, three sequence networks can be decoupled during whole simulation. Thus, dimension greatly reduced. Last, validated 10-machine 39-bus New England by comparing it with traditional SFEMT Test results show that much efficient than
